​WHAT THE HECK IS AN NFT?

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique digital identifier that is recorded on a blockchain and is used to certify ownership and authenticity. It cannot be copied, substituted, or subdivided. The ownership of an NFT is recorded in the blockchain and can be transferred by the owner, allowing NFTs to be sold and traded.

SO HOW DO YOU CREATE YOUR OWN NFT?

Here are some steps you can take to create your own NFT:

1. Choose a blockchain
   Each blockchain has its own NFT token standard, marketplace, and wallet services.
2. Select an NFT marketplace
   Almost all NFT marketplaces allow you to create your own NFT, but some platforms can only host a specific type of NFT.
3. Set up a crypto wallet
   You'll need a digital wallet that supports Ethereum and other relevant crypto assets. Some wallet apps may allow you to add an extra layer of security such as facial recognition or creating a passcode.
4. Buy cryptocurrency
   You'll need cryptocurrency to create an NFT.
5. Connect your wallet to the NFT platform
   For example, you can connect your OpenSea account to the "My Collection" page to choose the type of NFT you want to mint.
6. Create your NFT
   "Minting" is the computer process of validating information, creating a new block, and recording that information into the blockchain.
