I don't need anyone's affection or approval in order to be good enough. When someone rejects or abandons or judges me, it isn't actually about me. It's about them and their own insecurities, limitations, and needs, and I don't have to internalize that. My worth isn't contingent upon other people's acceptance of me -- it's something inherent. I exist, and therefore, I matter. I'm allowed to voice my thoughts and feelings. I'm allowed to assert my needs and take up space. I'm allowed to hold onto the truth that who I am is exactly enough. And I'm allowed to remove anyone from my life who makes me feel otherwise.
